Why Sedna

We are experts in Arctic logistics and have the capability to run projects from 1 day to 3 months.

From Iqaluit we mobilize into Nunavut, Nunavik and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. Our crew holds SVOP, Bridgewatch, RPAS and ROV pilot certifications — and has grown up on these waters.

How we work

From first call to final deliverable, one crew carries the project.

We’re not a subcontracting chain — the people you meet on the first call are the people on the boat, behind the monitors, and writing the report.

01

Scope & site plan

We walk through objectives with you, confirm access, permits, HTO consultations, and the weather window.

02

Mobilization

Gear moves from Iqaluit — boat, snow machine, tent, generator, ROV and sonar systems, safety kit.

03

Field operations

Two-pilot ROV team in the water, bathymetry lines run on autopilot, daily debrief and data QC.

04

Processing & delivery

HydroMagic cleanup, imagery selection, annotated report — plus the raw data in the format you need.

Named for Sedna, the sea goddess. Run by the people who know these waters.

ᓯᐊᑕ ᓯᓚᕐᔪᐊᕐᒥᐅᑕᖅ ᐃᒪᕐᒥᐅᑕᓂᒃ · Sedna watches over the creatures of the sea. We do our work with that in mind.

Sedna ROV Services Inc. is a 100% Inuit-owned marine technology company headquartered in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Founded in 2016, we've delivered major bathymetric surveys across Canada — including serving as the prime contractor for the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) Arctic Region Surveys in both 2023 and 2024.

Every mission is planned with local Hunters & Trappers Organizations, and every dataset we collect is a little more truth added to the chart of a region that’s still half-mapped.
